The total cost of the deal could exceed £51 million. If the full amount is reached, Estevao will become the most expensive teenage signing from South America in history.

Who is Willian Estevao?

Willian Estevao was born in France, Brazil, he was born on April 24, 2007. He started his youth career with the academy of Cruzeiro in 2017. At the age of 10, he signed a professional contract with Nike in 2018, making the Brazilian, the youngest Brazilian player to sign with the company, surpassing the Real Madrid and Brazil star Rodrygo.

Willian admires Lionel Messi and considers him his idol due to their similar style of play, electrifying dribbling, and pace. He was affectionately given the nickname “messinho” as a tribute to Messi.

On May 6, 2021, the Brazilian joined the youth academy of Palmeiras by signing a trainee contract. During his time there, he contributed to Palmeiras’ victories in the Campeonato Paulista Sub-17, Campeonato Paulista Sub-15, Copa do Brasil Sub-17, and Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-17. In the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-17 final in October 2023, he scored a hat trick, leading his team to a 3-0 victory against Sao Paulo.

Willian returned back to Palmeiras u-20 team where he became a notable player in the competition, and a force to be reckoned with in the competition. On the 24th of April 2024, he scored his first goal for Palmeiras in their 3-1 win over Liverpool during the 2024 Copa Libertadores group stage, becoming the third player to achieve that feat following Angelo Gabriel and Endrick.
