This award was announced shortly after Chris Wood was named the best player for October in the Premier League. The double celebration was the first time in the history of Nottingham Forest that they won the player and manager in the same month.
Nuno Espirito Santos won the award after he led Forest to an unbeaten month, having earned seven points from a possible nine. After a 1-1 draw at Chelsea, they won back-to-back matches in the Premier League for the first time since December 2023, beating Crystal Palace and winning away at Leicester City.
This is the fifth time he has won the Premier League manager of the month having he previously won it with Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2018, June 2020 and October 2020, as well as with Tottenham Hotspur in August 2021.
He topped a four-man shortlist that also included Pep Guardiola, Fabian Hurzeler, and Arne Slot, claiming the award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts.
