It has been a long time since fans of the Washington Wizards really had something to be excited about.

The team has been shy of greatness for quite a few seasons now and hasn’t made it out of the first round of the playoffs in five seasons.

While their chances in the new season don’t look all that great right now, the organization is still attempting to get people hyped.

They are doing so by releasing the first look at their brand new throwback jerseys, which harken back to a brighter, better time for the team.

The video released by the team is very clever: it starts off by looking like something straight out of the 1990s before taking viewers on a trip through the history of the team.

There have been some good times for the Wizards – and even a championship back in the 1970s – but it might be a while before they reach those heights again.

Wishes For The Wizards

We are still in the midst of the Bradley Beal era of the Wizards.

Ever since joining the team, Beal has been their biggest and most loyal star.

He’s a very talented player and has gladly taken on the role of team leader – but even with his drive and desire to win, the team has still come up short.

They had a promising start last season, with newcomers Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope coming in clutch multiple times.

The addition of Kristaps Porzingis later in the season was also a good sign.

But in the end, the team still missed the playoffs and there isn’t a sure sign that things will be different next year.

Hopefully, these throwback jerseys won’t be the only thing fans are happy about next season.
