Borussia Dortmund’s head coach Edin Terzić has promised that his team are prepared for the showdown against AC Milan.
The highly anticipated Champions League encounter will take centre stage at Signal Iduna Park, with both teams seeking their first victory in the European elite tournament this season.
Terzić understands the difficulty of playing with opponents like AC Milan, acknowledging their technical ability, intensity, and technique.
In a press conference on Tuesday, he emphasized the need for his men to be ready both defensively and attacking-wise. “We have to defend well, but then be ready when the match is intense.”
Dortmund’s journey in the 2023/24 Champions League began with a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain, although Terzić drew positives from the experience.
Going into the Wednesday game, he hopes for a different challenge against Milan. “Milan’s way of playing is different, we will have new challenges, and we will try to do our best.”
Terzić’s group ‘F’ has been dubbed the ‘group of death,’ as it comprise both Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain, but he remains optimistic about his team’s prospects.
“In the Champions League, no match is easy. Usually, 10 points are needed to qualify. This is why it is important to score points tomorrow, and the home matches are important.”
“Tomorrow Milan will be there, a difficult opponent, but we can face them, and the fans will be there to help us. We will give a great performance,” he added.
