Looks like an investigation is underway by the state’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Makala Malcolm, reportedly dragged an adult with disabilities directly by the hair, tearing out her braids during the attack, and leaving a bald spot with redness and blood on the victim’s scalp.
“This is appalling. Caregivers are supposed to nurture their patients, not rip out their hair,” Attorney General Ashley Moody said. “Thankfully, my Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigators and local law enforcement stopped this suspect before more harm could be done.”
Malcolm is charged with abuse of an elderly or disabled adult, which is a third-degree felony.
