The 16-year-old is an attacking midfielder who can play in a variety of positions, and his signing will be seen as something of a coup as he has also been tracked by Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.

Darvich has risen through the ranks at Freiburg in the last 12 months with the 16-year-old already featuring for the club’s reserve side.

Despite losing out to Real Madrid in the battle to sign Arda Guler last month, Barcelona are still an exciting prospect for young talent, and Darwich is on the La Blaugrana radar.

Darwich has impressed on national level too, with five goals for the Germany U17 team, and Barcelona are ready to make their move. The German footballer’s contract with SC Freiburg was set to expire next year and Barcelona have swiftly acted to secure his services.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Barcelona will be bringing in Noah Darvich this month as they look to edge out major Bundesliga interest in him.

The news has sparked excitement among Barcelona supporters, who are eager to see the development of the promising German talent while wearing the club’s illustrious blue and red colors.

Darvich, one of Germany’s most promising young players, will try to make an impression in Barcelona’s development system and follow in the footsteps of previous La Masia stars like Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, and Gavi, among others.

His signing could open doors for other young players looking for opportunities, further enhancing Barcelona’s standing as a top destination for up-and-coming talent.
