A-Thon” – FUTA student sets out to solve Math problems for 84 hours non-stop to break Guinness World Record

A student at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) identified as Samuel Emmanuel has embarked on a mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual mathematics tutorial.

The student, popularly known as “Bunday,” has already surpassed 27 hours in his marathon math-a-thon and is set to continue for a staggering 84-hour duration.

Samuel Emmanuel, who hails from Lagos State, isn’t only a math enthusiast but also a devoted teacher and devout Christian.

Samuel Emmanuel’s journey in education began at Zion Model School, where he gained recognition for fostering a positive learning environment.

Even after relocating, his enthusiasm for mathematics education remained steadfast, leading him to impart knowledge at various institutions, including FUTA.

According to him, he believes in instilling a love for learning in every student he encounters.

Samuel Emmanuel’s math-a-thon, streamed live on YouTube under the banner of “Bunday Mathathon,” has garnered a wave of attention online.
