Unai Emery has assured that everything is “under control” following Jhon Duran’s frustrated reaction in Champions League win.
Aston Villa went top of their UCL table after a 2-0 win over Bologna on Tuesday.
The Colombian striker, who had just doubled Villa’s lead after John McGinn’s opener in the second half, was replaced by Ollie Watkins minutes after celebrating his goal.
Duran was seen striking the bench in frustration after passing Emery on the touchline, but the Villa boss dismissed concerns.
“Everything is under control. We send a message in the dressing room which is respect. Try to be mature and responsible.”
The match saw Villa remain perfect in the competition this season.
McGinn broke the deadlock in the second half before Duran sealed the win, marking his first Champions League start with a crucial goal.
