Andrew Wiggins of the Golden State Warriors probably just had the best season of his career.
It’s not because he was named an All-Star for the first time in his career.
No, the thing that truly set last season apart from what came before for Wiggins was the fact that he won his first championship ring, something he has been yearning for since he joined the league back in 2014.

Looking at Wiggins’ career, you can see a young man who has been working hard since his early days back with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In fact, Wiggins has been playing so hard since his rookie year that he actually has more career points than Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Nikola Jokic, Gordon Hayward, and CJ McCollum.
Those guys are some of the biggest on their respective teams and have been superstars for a long time.
The fact that Wiggins has scored more than them says an awful lot about him.
Wiggins’ Rule
Now that he’s received his first taste of the NBA Finals, Wiggins is eager to go back and do it all over again.
Thankfully for him, he plays for the best team in the league and is being guided by one of the greatest coaches to ever lead a squad.
Head coach Steve Kerr has had a major hand in Wiggins’ surge over the last few seasons.
He obviously understood what the young man was capable of when he moved over from the Timberwolves and he created a rotation that Wiggins fit into perfectly.
It’s not like he had an explosive increase in points when he joined Golden State but he just seemed to mesh far better with Kerr’s style and plans.
And now he is a champion – and still scoring so many points.
