We don’t know a whole lot about the future of Kevin Durant and his Brooklyn Nets.

Obviously, we don’t know if he will stick around with the team or if he will succeed in acquiring the trade he so desperately wants.

We also don’t know where he will land if he does indeed leave Brooklyn.

We might not know a lot about his future but we do know much about his past, including the fact that he was a phenomenal basketball player from the very start of his career.

That’s easy to see when you watch a clip from him back when he played for the now-defunct Seattle SuperSonics.

Yes, before he was making noise with Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant was a star player for the Sonics and wowed the rest of the league with his natural abilities.

All these years later, Durant is still a wonderful basketball player – one of the best in the league – and people are once again talking about an NBA team heading to Seattle.

A Return To Seattle?

The SuperSonics were in Seattle from 1967 until 2008 when they relocated to Oklahoma City and changed their name to the Thunder.

The loss of the team was a huge blow to the people of Seattle, who loved their Sonics and have been yearning for another team since then.

For years, it seemed like the chances of that happening were slim.

But lately, there has been talk of the NBA expanding yet again in the next few years, with a couple of teams possibly headed to Seattle and perhaps Las Vegas.

Any new Seattle team wouldn’t have Durant but it would have a very loyal, engaged fanbase.
