Thomas Tuchel makes final decision on a possible move to Man United

Reports now indicate that Thomas Tuchel has made a final decision on a possible move to Man United ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

Thomas Tuchel has reportedly turned down interest from Man United to take on the role of head coach ahead of the 2024/2025 season in favour of taking a career break following his departure from Bayern Munich.

The former Chelsea manager, who left the German club at the end of the 2023-24 season, has been heavily linked with the possibility of replacing Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Despite meeting with Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as reported by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tuchel is expected to take a hiatus from coaching.

According to BILD reporter Christian Falk, Tuchel met with Sir Jim Ratcliffe in Monaco last Tuesday. During their discussion, Tuchel expressed his intention to maximize the potential of his former Chelsea player Mason Mount and Jadon Sancho if he were to accept the Manchester United position. However, he ultimately decided to step back from coaching for the time being.

From all indications, Erik Ten Hag is set to keep his role as the head coach of Man United following the decision of Thomas Tuchel to cancel out a potential move to the Red Devils.

The Dutch manager was rumoured to be facing dismissal following the FA Cup final. However, after leading the Red Devils to victory at Wembley, he may have secured an extended tenure at Old Trafford.
