Tacha contends that the apology issued by Davido was insincere and seemed to set Phyna up for further online backlash.

The controversy unfolded when Phyna publicly called out Davido for liking a tweet that was critical of her.

The tweet had sparked outrage online, leading some of the former BBNaija contestants to lash out at the popular Nigerian singer.

Davido responded to the situation, claiming that his like on the tweet was an honest mistake and further stated that he was not acquainted with Phyna.

This response triggered a heated online debate, with some BBNaija alumni criticizing Davido for seemingly shading Phyna.

Tacha, who is widely recognized as a social media influencer, took it upon herself to defend Phyna.

She assured Phyna that, even if Davido didn’t know her, there were plenty of people who did.

In a recent video, Tacha shared her thoughts on the matter. She argued that Davido’s apology was far from sincere and had the unintended effect of exposing Phyna to more online backlash from trolls.

Tacha went on to emphasize how quickly online bullying can escalate and cited a past incident involving comedian AY, where a joke about Phyna was blown out of proportion, though the comedian subsequently offered a heartfelt apology, despite his stature as a prominent comic figure.
