For several seasons now, fans have been hoping that Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers would be named MVP.
And for several seasons now, that hasn’t happened.
For the last two years, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has claimed that title while Embiid has come close, but not close enough.

But when you look at Embiid’s game over the last two seasons, you see someone who definitely deserves the title.
He has an average of 33 points and 11 rebounds for the last two years while shooting 51/37/83.
He has been first in points per game and has been All-NBA twice, as well as an All-Star and All-Defense.
For two years in a row, Embiid has been playing incredible basketball and just falling short of being MVP.
Will that change this year?

Even though the last couple of years have been phenomenal, many people think the best is yet to come.
Some people predict that the upcoming season will be Embiid’s greatest.
This is due to the fact that he has only been getting better and more tuned in to the game.
He has stepped up in almost every way and has become comfortable being the team leader he now is.
But the players around him are starting to shine more too, most specifically newcomer James Harden who is adamant about helping the team conquer in the playoffs.
With the support of Harden, P.J. Tucker, and others, Embiid might really reach the next level of his game.
If that happens, his dominance will be undeniable and he could finally secure his MVP trophy.
Embiid has made no secret of the fact that he really wants to be the Most Valuable Player in the league – maybe now is his time.
