Reports say he’s linked to a big scam, tricking job-seekers out of lots of money, over 600 million Kenyan shillings.
Wanjohi’s company, WorthStart Agency, which is based in Nairobi, is at the center of this mess. They’ve been tricking people who are desperate for jobs, especially those who want to work abroad, promising them good opportunities. But instead of helping them find jobs, they’ve been taking their money.
More than 4,000 people paid 100,000 shillings each to this agency, hoping for a better future. But sadly, they lost their money and had to go to the police for help. It’s heartbreaking to think about all those people who were hoping for a chance to improve their lives, only to be cheated.
Last week, the police raided WorthStart Agency’s offices in Pension Towers, Nairobi. They did this because so many people were complaining about being cheated. Some of Wanjohi’s friends were arrested during the raid, but Wanjohi himself managed to escape. Now, he’s on the run, hiding from the police.
Pastor Wanjohi is known for being flashy. He likes to show off his fancy cars and talk about how he came from nothing to become successful. But now, it seems like his success might not be as honest as he claimed.
