It’s been quite some time since anyone has seen Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets play basketball.
The player was traded to the Nets from the Philadelphia 76ers last season after months of sitting on the sidelines, unhappy with his role on that team and stating that he was suffering from mental health issues.
Fans were expecting great things from Simmons when he was sent packing to Brooklyn.
But that didn’t really work out as expected.
In the end, a lower back injury that continued to nag Simmons prevented him from ever suiting up for the Nets.
This upset and frustrated all Brooklyn fans and it also made for one peculiar and slightly embarrassing eBay item.

Someone is selling a “game worn” Brooklyn Nets Simmons jersey card, meaning they are selling a jersey that Simmons wore during a Nets game.
The only problem is that Simmons never took to the floor in a Nets jersey so how on Earth is this even possible?
Better Things Ahead For Ben
We don’t know what the Nets will look like when the next season starts.
As of now, Simmons will be part of the lineup but he might be playing without the two biggest names on the squad, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
If that’s the case, Simmons could be the largest superstar on the roster.
It’s definitely not what fans had in mind when he first came to New York.
Simmons is wanting to redeem himself for all the negative headlines and comments made about him over the last year.
He wants Brooklyn to be the place where he starts his comeback story.
