Liverpool climb to third in 3-0 win against Brentford

Liverpool climbed to third place in the Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Brentford at Anfield on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah showed class with a brace. He broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with a clinical strike, capitalizing on Brentford’s missed opportunities in the first half.

Despite two disallowed goals for offside, Nunez played a role in assisting Salah’s opening goal.

Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead in the second half with a well-timed header from Tsimikas’ cross. The Bees’ appeal that the ball had gone out of play went unanswered.

With the win, Liverpool now shares points with the top two teams, Arsenal and Manchester City.
