A woman going by the handle @nomqhele_gemini has turned to social media to share her heartbreaking tale of being separated from her mother when she was just two years old.
The young woman, named Precious Mnkandla, released pictures of her mother on TikTok , recounting the painful narrative of her early childhood.
She claimed that her mother had been a constant presence in her life until the age of two when she was unexpectedly separated from her and entrusted to her father’s care.
The young lady said that she ended up in Zimbabwe when she was four years old, attending school there while being looked after by her paternal grandmother.
Precious overcame the difficulties of growing up without her mother by persevering in her education and finally attending university.
But even after the birth of her own child, the emptiness her mother’s absence left loomed large in her life.
Motivated by a desire for reunion, the woman shared her tale on social media and started a podcast in an attempt to track down her mother, who had been absent for a long time.
She acknowledged that the search has been unsuccessful despite her best efforts. She said she believes she will one day be reunited with her mother despite the sorrow she is going through.
