From the Los Angeles Lakers, Rams, Clippers, Dodgers, Angels, and more, LA is a town that loves its home teams.

The city and the teams playing for it have found a whole lot of success over the years across multiple sports, most notably baseball and basketball.

And those two sports are coming together in a huge way this month.

The Dodgers are going to give fans a special reversible Dodgers and Lakers jersey on Mamba Day/Lakers Night on August 24.

On one side of the jersey is Clayton Kershaw’s number 22.

When reversed, the jersey showcases Magic Johnson‘s number 32.

With just one shirt, fans will be able to celebrate two of the biggest names in LA sports history.

Two Sports Collide

The two teams on this reversible jersey are experiencing very different challenges.

For the Dodgers, they are sitting atop the standings and attempting to make it to the World Series.

They’re doing incredibly well and their chances of going all the way have never been higher.

As for the Lakers, they didn’t even make it to the postseason recently and are attempting to right the wrongs and finally get back on track.

Los Angeles residents would be elated if both teams were champions, but it doesn’t seem like that will happen any time soon unless the Lakers have the biggest turnaround in NBA history.

Still, Lakers fans are a resilient, loyal bunch and they are going to stick with their team through thick and thin.

It just so happens that the times are very, very thin right now.

Despite that, fans are going to be eager to get this Dodgers shirt because it’s a great way to show pride for two teams at once.
