Renowned Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has taken to her Twitter page to express her concern over the safety of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, advocating for the complete scrapping of the NYSC scheme.

Henshaw highlighted her own experience as a former corper to emphasize the need for change.

The actress reminisced about her time serving in the North during her youth service days, recounting the safety and ease with which she was able to travel across regions.

She mentioned traveling from Bauchi to the airport by road, and subsequently flying to Lagos with just her NYSC ID card, which even granted her a rebate on her flight ticket.

However, Henshaw lamented the current state of affairs, asserting that young corps members now face significant risks when attempting to travel within the country.
