Chelsea captain Reece James has expressed excitement returning to the pitch after staying out of action for over two months.
James sustained a hamstring injury in training following Chelsea’s first Premier League game against Liverpool.
Despite the frustrations of dealing with injuries, he narrates to Chelsea media crew the need to pay attention to warning signs.
“My body gave me a warning, but I didn’t listen. I’m more aware now when something is screaming, slow down a bit.”
The 23-year-old England international also expressed excitement about his current physical condition, stating, “I haven’t felt this good in a long time.”
He is confident of gradually returning to peak form. “Some people think as soon as you come back you should instantly be at the level you left at, but it doesn’t work like that, ” James said.
Since his return, the Chelsea star has actively contributed to the team’s recent successes, with notable performances against Blackburn, Tottenham, and the recent game against Manchester City.
