• In the blink of an eye after Davido lit a firestorm on the internet by endorsing a tweet that trolled Phyno, the BBNaija star jumped into the fray, scribbling her astonishment at the singer’s out-of-the-blue move.
• The OBO Crooner picked up on her reaction, clearly stated he’s in the dark about who she is, and extended an apology, acknowledging that his actions were an honest-to-goodness slip of the pen.

The Afrobeats Superstar, Davido, has poured cold water on speculations of him harboring ill feelings towards BBNaija winner, Phyna, in light of his reaction to her public call-out after he liked a post that was less than complimentary about her.

A group of eagle-eyed netizens recently uncovered Davido’s liked tweet that threw some serious shade at Phyna and her devoted followers

The tweet had claimed people give the impression of who they are by the kind of celebrities they stan, insinuated that those supporting Phyna are “useless”.

As tensions mounted, Phyna turned to her Twitter account to vent her frustration, wondering aloud what she had done to provoke such a reaction from Davido.

Despite her dismay, the BBNaija star didn’t hold back from extending her congratulations to him for the arrival of twins with his wife, Chioma Adeleke.

She wrote;

“Wetin I do @davido Na wah oh, The hate is real… Congratulations on your twins sha”

In a bid to clarify the situation, Davido unequivocally stated that he bears no grudge against her, firmly stating that he doesn’t know her well enough to have any reason to dislike her. He also admitted that liking the tweet was an innocent blunder.

He expressed his gratitude for her affection, even in the face of her reservations, and offered a heartfelt apology, urging her to let go of any lingering anger towards him.

Davido wrote;

“Thank you love but I actually don’t know who you are .. and it was an honest mistake .. no vex.”
