We’re back in election season, which means there’s been a lot of talk about betrayals. However, I believe there is an interesting betrayal between Atiku and Peter Obi.
Peter Obi, for starters, betrayed Ojukwu. Obi was a relatively unknown figure before Ojukwu offered him the APGA platform to run on.
Obi ported to PDP less than a year after completing his eight years then Obi was publicly accused of betrayal by Ojukwu’s son.
After that, Obi joins the PDP and is fortunate that Atiku chooses him as his running mate in 2019. At the time, there were three PDP governors, all of whom were first-term governors focused on a second term. As a result, Peter Obi was chosen.
Peter Obi went from being an Anambra boy to a National name.
Peter Obi then decides to run against Atiku in 2022. He knew he couldn’t win, but he wanted Atiku’s attention for Vice President. When it became clear that he would be disgraced if he did not have a governor with him, he ported to the Labour Party.
He has never publicly attacked Atiku in any way. In fact, when Atiku won the ticket, he openly congratulated him and even referred to him as his leader and elder brother.
Atiku, on the other hand, has not congratulated him.
Peter Obi, like Ojukwu, has betrayed Atiku in my opinion.
… And now all he’s doing in the South East is cannibalising Atiku’s votes. He’s just trying to be a spoiler.
So Guys,
Do You Think Peter Obi Betrayed Atiku?
