The ruling All Progressives Congress party has expelled its member, Senator Elisha Abbo, who is the lawmaker representing Adamawa North for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.
The controversial senator, who has been one of the major voices against the party’s presidential Muslim-Muslim ticket, was axed for criticising the APC presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on national television.
This was disclosed in his expulsion letter, which was signed on Friday by 13 members of the state executives.
Rising from its meeting on Friday, the excos of Mubi North Local Government Area stated that they had reviewed among other things the report of the disciplinary committee before taking the decision to expel him.
The statement read in part, “Consequently, 29 members of the committee have approved the report of the disciplinary committee dated 5th day of October 2022. Wherefore, expelled Senator Elisha Ishiyahu Abbo, based on the Interview granted on the AIT where he was condemning and criticising the Party presidential flag.”

Elisha Abbo who is a Christian by birth has been airing his displeasure after the APC presidential ticket bearer, Bola Tinubu opted for Shettima who is a Muslim as his running mate, with the claim that there is no suitable Christian northerner to aid the party’s winning.
Popularly called the ‘Sex toy Senator’, Senator Elisha Abbo who is a native of Adamawa State broke the news in 2019 after slapping a nursing mother repeatedly at a sex toy shop on May 11, 2019.
