Tottenham Hotspur fought their way through a thrilling 3-2 win against Brentford, courtesy of Richarlison’s goal.
The game started with a twist as Neal Maupay, known for his playful nature, mocked James Maddison’s dart-throwing celebration after scoring the opener for Brentford.
This seemed to have fueled Tottenham’s determination to turn the game around.
After a halftime pep talk from manager Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham came out stronger in the second half.
Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson swiftly responded with goals, putting Tottenham in the lead.
Both players celebrated with imaginary darts, in response to Maupay’s earlier actions.
Richarlison further extended Tottenham’s lead to 3-1, adding to the drama with his own dart-throwing celebration.
However, Brentford fought back with Ivan Toney scoring their second goal after a defensive error from Udogie.
The match was not short of controversy, with tempers flaring as Dejan Kulusevski clashed with Maupay, earning both players bookings.
Despite Brentford’s efforts to slow down the game, Tottenham’s relentless attack paid off, saving them a spot into the top four.
