Renowned actress Lerato Mvelase bagged the “Best Actress in a TV Drama” award at the 17th South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas) on Saturday, 30 September. However, that is not entirely why she has topped the trends list on X (formerly Twitter).
“Lerato a mother to a 16 year old but still wearing that nonsense dress?” another said.
“Looove everything about this but the shoes! Everything else is amazing… body, hair, skin, outfit, kids… konke man,” commented another.
Actress and presenter Pearl Modiadie was stunned by her body, saying: “Lerato Mvelase’s body!!”
Plot twist? He does not die. His wife, instead of ending their marriage, decides to craft her own spine-chilling revenge on both the offenders.

Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net says, “Our Mzansi Magic Mondays are already bursting with local gems. But with Icala, expect an overload of emotions. A soul-stirring story, blended with some laughs, it’s real, it’s raw, and trust us, you don’t want to miss this rollercoaster.”
Whilst another X user wrote: “I’m so disappointed in her outside 😞! I honestly don’t like how these women have been dressing on the red carpet lately. Why be naked? I believe that the concept of the red carpet is to exude glamour and sophistication, this outfit does not reflect that.”
Icala follows the story of a man, reckless and self-centered, who thinks his death-end is near. As a result, he spills the beans, confessing to his loving, revenge-driven wife about the child he fathered with her best friend.
