The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has visited some of the victims in the flood affected communities in the state.
The Kogi flood has completely barred transportation through Lokoja highway to Abuja.
To access the affected communities, Yahaya Bello and his aides travelled in canoes.
The governor interacted with some residents of the affected communities and sympathised with them.
A least six persons have been reported dead this week as a result of the flood in Kogi, over 500 houses have been submerged and over 31,000 households have been displaced.

The Kogi flood has also worsened the scarcity of petrol in Abuja as of Thursday according to the Federal Government, the flooded roads in Kogi stopped tankers from transporting fuel easily to the Federal Capital Territory.
