Last night, Wizkid shut down the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, for the third time in his 10-year career.
Later this night, he’ll further extend that record and make it his fourth. Then, tomorrow, after making the last London stop of his “Made in Lagos” world tour, the 31-year-old maestro would have successfully sold out and performed at the prestigious O2 Arena five times.
Right now, no Nigerian artist can boast of such a record. And, even if anyone in the near future manages to pull something like this of (I doubt it), he or she will only just be doing it after Big Wiz.
The “No Stress” singer is so big he sells out these shows in minutes. Is there really anyone else out there who can pull such an impressive feat in this country? Or in Africa even? No, I don’t think so.
Wizkid didn’t just create one of the best albums of the decade (“Made in Lagos”), he’s also successfully hosted the greatest tour by any Afrobeats artist ever. That is not just crazy, it is divine!
After this, I don’t think Wizkid even needs to do more to prove that he is the best there ever was. Really, what a time to be alive!
Looking at it, there are only two artists who actually come close to Wizkid in this industry; Burna Boy and Davido. But none of those two alone can go against Big Wiz. Even if we combine Burna Boy and Davido‘s feats, it doesn’t still look like they’ll reach the guy. It’s just insane.
Anyway, my one question for y’all is
Does Wizkid’s O2 Show Confirm Once And For All That He Is Bigger Than Davido And Burna Boy Combined?
Let’s hear what you think.
