Actress Damilola Adegbite opens up about her failed marriage with fellow actor Chris Attoh.
The pair married in a quiet ceremony in 2015 after welcoming a son together in 2014. The two had first connected on the set of the acclaimed soap series “Tinsel.”
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Damilola revealed the early days of their love story, the struggles they faced in their marriage.
The actress explained that they came to the realization that “love is not enough” and that this was the cause of their breakup.
In spite of the fact that the couple’s divorce was finalized in September 2017, Damilola has said she doesn’t regret their separation.
The Actresss made it clear that she still thinks highly of Chris Attoh because he is the father of their boy.
She claimed that love is not the only thing that should be considered when choosing a partner to spend the rest of one’s life with, but rather only one of many attributes.
This is coming weeks after her handbag which had her money and phone was stolen and almost left her stranded in London only to receive help from a good Samaritan.
Speaking about it on Instagram, she wrote:
Regardless of where you are or where you plan to go, the most important thing is for God to be with you. My handbag was stolen some weeks ago in London.
My phone and all my money for the trip gone in a second, literally. MET police had to get involved. It was like a movie. Thank God for a helper. I would have been stranded in a foreign land. The world has changed guys.
Got an alert from Apple. My phone has reached China before me 😂 It is well. Just try and make the most of whatever situation you find yourself in as you aim for higher!”
Recall that Chris Attoh was rumoured to be married secretly for the third time last year.
The Tinsel actor whose second marriage ended after his wife, Bettie Jennifer, was murdered in May 2019, got married to a woman named Chinecherem Eze.
Chinecherem is an actor, producer, and investor.
