Reality TV star Uriel Oputa shared her experience of being disqualified from a Nigerian Idol audition because her uncle, Charly Boy, was one of the judges.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate shared a throwback video of her Nigerian Idol audition on her Instagram page, revealing that despite her outstanding performance, she was disqualified due to her relation to the famous Nigerian entertainer and singer, Charly Boy.
She went ahead to list everything she ever auditioned for including Project Fame, X Factor where she met singer Niniola and DJ Switch, and Big Brother Naija which she eventually got after three failed attempts, expressing her excitement and pride at never giving up.
The caption on the video read: “Throwback to when Uriel auditioned on Nigerian Idol but because she was related to Charly Boy, she wasn’t allowed to continue on the show.”
