Why I love how Anthony Joshua won even though I like Francis Ngannou – Davido

Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, often known as Davido, has resorted to social media to explain why he appreciates Anthony Joshua’s victory despite being a huge supporter of Francis Ngannou.

The hashtag #JoshuaNgannou is trending on social media after Anthony Joshua defeated Cameroonian boxer Francis Ngannou in the main event of the “Knockout Chaos” program.

The battle took place yesterday night, March 8th, 2024, in the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Tyson Fury, Jose Mourinho, Ronaldo, and others were present.

However, after ridiculing Drake for losing his N1 billion bet on Francis Ngannou to defeat Anthony Joshua, Davido explains why he favored the British boxer (Anthony Joshua), who is of Nigerian heritage.

Davido stated that he has a soft place for Francis Nganous (Cameroonian-French mixed martial artist and professional boxer), and that his tale inspires him. He has always liked seeing him fight and win.

Davido, on the other hand, determined that as a Nigerian, he wants AJ to win and that he must be loyal to his motherland.

The musician was taken aback when Anthony Joshua defeated Francis Ngannous by knockout just four minutes after his post.

Davido wrote; “As a Nigerian of course I want AJ to win … but e get one soft spirit wey this Francis get and plus his story again … u go come Dey use style gbadun him way!! 😂 But gotta stick with the Homeland 🇳🇬.”

He added; “Wait wat ?? I just tweeted … nawa … anyway up 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬💪🏾.”

“4 min difference 😂😂😂.”
