Why Eric Omondi Was Denied Access To Nyayo Stadium For Daughter’s Mega Birthday Party

Eric Omondi and Lynne Njihia’s daughter Princes Kyla Hailey turned a year old in August 6.

The couple had planned a mega birthday party that was supposed to be held at the Nyayo stadium.

However, the plans did push through because Eric was suspected to be organising a protests and that he was just using his daughter’s birthday as a cover up.

“Kyla is teething, she is walking until she gets ill, fever but she is okay. Kyla’s birthday was to happen at Nyayo Stadium but they declined to give us a permit. I explained to them that it wasn’t protests but for my daughter, until I showed them a picture but they did not believe it. So I am considering Kasarani,” he said in an interview, confirming that the party is still on, although it is nearly two months since the actual birthday date.

The comedian maintained that his daughter’s birthday must happen in a stadium. He however has another option if he is not granted access to Kasarani stadium.

“We will go the Walker Town way. I will just hold a concert. I will invite Zuchu, Harmonize and Bien to perform at Kyla’s birthday. My point is it must be big but I wish we do it in a stadium. She is my first daughter, it is national celebration for my princess so I wanted it to be a Kenyan affair. She doesn’t understand herself right now so let us celebrate her. When she begins understanding herself she will have her decisions,” Eric said.
