- A Nigerian ladies has sparked online debate by begging for money to buy sanitary pads, absorbent items used by women during menstruation.
- A lady identified as @meyiwa_vera posted a video expressing her urgent need for funds to buy pads on an unidentified street.
The statement on the sign, “Need money for pads,” makes it obvious to passersby that she needs menstrual hygiene products.
The woman approached passersby and begged them for money, seemingly unfazed. She received some cash from several.
The woman can be seen entering a store near the end of the film, using the money she had been given to purchase two packs of pads.
After that, she wrapped each product in nylon and gave them to women she saw on the street.
Many people’s hearts melt as they see the video and swarm the comment area to praise the young woman.
