Prophet Muhammad was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of the world religion of Islam.
According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet, divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.
In 595, Muhammad married, at the age of 25, to his first wife Khadija bint Khuwaylid, a widow who was 40 years old. She lived with him for 25 years. After her death in 619 CE, he married a total of 12 women over the remaining years of his life.
But there’s something funny about his marriages. Almost all of Muhammad’s wives were widows, with the exception of Maymunah and Aisha.
Don’t argue with me, ask your Imam if I’m lying. Ten of his wives were widows.
MY concern is, how could he marry 10 widows? Is it that he patiently waited for their husbands to die or what?
