The ongoing evictions and demolition on East African Portland Cement PLC 4,298 acre piece of land has been going on for the past three days.
Multimillion luxurious homes have since Friday October 13, 2023, been demolished following a Machakos High Court ruling that declared the occupation of the land illegal.
Residences including churches and schools have been demolished on the 4,298 acre piece of land.
Some residents ended up spending nights in the cold after roaring bulldozers pulled down their houses.
Pleas from residents and leaders to have the demolitions stopped to give dialogue room have fallen on deaf ears.
A recent court ruling on 9 October declared that the land belonged to EAPC and that those who had settled on it had done so illegally.
Gospel singer Bernice Mugo alias Lady Bee took to social media to narrate the pain of watching her property being demolished.
