- K1 De Ultimate’s alleged skeletons in the closet have been aired out for all to see by none other than his longtime drummer, Kunle Ayanlowo.
- In a candid interview, Ayanlowo didn’t mince words as he laid bare the years of hardship endured by himself and fellow bandmates under Kwam1’s employ.
A former drummer from the entourage of the renowned Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde, famously known as Kwam1 or K1, has boldly lifted the veil on his alleged harrowing ordeal while serving in the musician’s ranks.
In a revealing interview, Kunle Ayanlowo, identified as an elderly member of the band, shed light on his experience working with K1, alleging mistreatment akin to slavery.
Ayanlowo divulged that the renowned Fuji singer routinely confiscated their passports during travel, for reasons best known to the musician.
Expanding on his account, Kunle Ayanlowo recounted a distressing incident where Kwam1 ran into him on the road while en route to the hospital for medical attention.
He said, despite his urgent need for treatment, Kwam1 allegedly ordered him to return home.
In a poignant plea, Kunle Ayanlowo disclosed the enduring repercussions of the incident, stated that he still suffers from the ulcer it triggered.
He urged Nigerians to hold the Fuji superstar accountable should anything untoward befall him. Expressing years of frustration, Ayanlowo lamented his 32-year tenure with K1, during which he claimed to have gained nothing substantial for himself or his family.
According to him, people just see Kwam 1’s positive side and don’t know who he truly is behind the showbiz scenes.

This is coming few days after K1 De Ultimate dismissed a report claiming he is having an affair with his chef and Folake Ibile, a purported friend of Emmanuella Ropo, his wife.
On Tuesday, a blog claimed there was a crisis in Ayinde’s home. It alleged that Emmanuella discovered the singer was having an affair with their chef.
The blogger also claimed that Kwam 1 was having a relationship with Ibile and another woman who is a sister to Mariam Anako, one of the wives of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ifè.
But in a statement by Kunle Rasheed, Ayinde’s spokesperson, the singer refuted the claims, adding that “they are baseless and capable of creating chaos”.
