Taking to social media, Sidika shared her experience at King’s House Church in London, saying she was delighted to be in a church setting again and described the service as uplifting.
Her friend, Dyna Muthoni, encouraged her to attend, helping her fulfill a New Year’s resolution to reconnect with her faith.
Reflecting on her plans for 2024, Sidika revealed that she had intended to establish a closer relationship with God at the beginning of the year, but every attempt to attend church had fallen through.
“This past Sunday was my first time in Church in over 10 years. Thanks to my BFF Dyna Muthoni. It was my new resolution but the devil tried it for 10 months,” Vera said.
“Every time I said ‘I will start this Sunday’ it never happened. King’s House is a great church indeed,” she admitted, attributing the delay to what she called the devil’s attempts.
Sidika’s intention to rekindle her spirituality has been a recurring theme this year.
Earlier in 2024, she turned to her followers for church recommendations in the Karen area, stating her desire to find a welcoming congregation where she could avoid the distractions of her public image.
Sidika, who admits she finds it difficult to attend church due to the attention she attracts, clarified that her primary resolution for 2024 is to build a better relationship with God.
“I haven’t been to church in ages. Damn. I pray and do my part as a Christian, but it’s damn hard going to church. Too much attention. If you know any good churches where I won’t be distracted, please suggest some. Ideally in Karen. This 2024, I am building a better relationship with God,” Vera said at the time.
Though it’s still unclear whether Sidika plans to continue attending services regularly once she returns to Kenya, she’s left fans intrigued about this new, introspective chapter in her life.
