UK Police arrest Nigerian woman for falsely accusing her husband of 12 years of rape to gain residency

A Nigerian woman residing in the United Kingdom has been arrested for falsely accusing her husband of rape and abuse after he brought her and their children to the UK.

The incident, as reported by UK-based lawyer Dele Olawanle, began when a man brought his wife and three children to the United Kingdom as dependents.

However, soon after their arrival, the wife’s behavior took an unexpected and troubling turn.

She became uncooperative, concealed her finances, and went to the extent of reporting her husband to the local police.

Upon arriving at the police station, the husband was met with a shocking accusation – his wife claimed that he had been raping and abusing her for over 12 years.

The husband, a professional, was devastated by these allegations and reportedly cried throughout his time in police custody.

The gravity of the situation caught the attention of a senior police officer who subsequently took charge of the case.

What followed was a thorough investigation that unveiled a disturbing twist to the narrative.

The senior officer, suspecting foul play, examined the wife’s mobile phone and discovered that she had been receiving text messages instructing her on what to say to the police in order to secure the right to live in the UK with her children, free from her husband’s influence.

These messages were part of a calculated effort to frame the husband and put him in legal jeopardy.

As a result of these revelations, the wife was promptly arrested and is currently in police custody.
