Independent Jorgi, a rising Afrotrap artist, has sparked outrage by openly criticising well-known female artists such as Tiwa Savage, Tems, and Teni.
Jorgi accused these industry leaders of being uninterested in promoting and collaborating with emerging female talent.
The rising Afro trap sensation did not mince words when he chastised these celebrated artists for what he sees as a self-centered approach to their careers.
Jorgi specifically mentioned their alleged failure to take advantage of opportunities to collaborate with emerging female artists, a move he believes would contribute to Nigerian music’s overall growth and diversity.
Jorgi asserted that, in contrast to their male counterparts, these female artists appear to be more concerned with their personal success than actively participating in the development of new talents.
She argued vehemently that true success in the industry should be measured not only by personal accomplishments, but also by a willingness to uplift and support the next generation of artists.
