The Lagos Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal throws out the petitions levelled against the victory of APC’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
On Monday, September 25, 2023, Justice Mikhail Abdullah rendered a verdict, dismissing the petitions brought forward by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and the Labour Party, as well as Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party.
These petitions were filed against the outcome of the March 18 governorship election in Lagos state.
Both Rhodes-Vivour and Adediran had contested the results of the said election, challenging the victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
However, during the judgment delivered on that day, Justice Mikhail Abdullah dismissed these petitions.
