“Trash the open letter from Chimamanda” – Tinubu’s aide, Bayo Onanuga tells Biden

Bayo Onanuga, the media aide of president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has told the president of United States, Joe Biden, to trash the open letter renowned author Chimamanda Adichie had written to him.

The politician stated this in a post on his official Twitter page.

It was earlier reported that the novelist extraordinaire had written a letter  to the USA president and the prime minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak, in which she faulted them for the congratulatory message despite irregularities which surrounded the election.

Mr Bayo Onanuga in his Twitter post dismissed her writing as fiction engendered by the loss if her tribesman.

He asked the US president to trash the letter when it gets to his desk.

Bayo Onanuga wrote:

“Dear President Joe Biden, please just trash the open letter by Chimamanda on Nigeria’s election once it gets to your desk. She wrote fiction, inspired by the monumental loss of her tribesman Peter Obi.”
