Too much food might be the cause of a wager loss
It was a great morning in Biggie’s house today as the All Stars sang their hearts out after Biggie instructed them to sing every dialogue throughout the day. The guidelines are in keeping with the theme of the week and will undoubtedly put the housemates’ musical abilities to the test. It is, however, noticeable that the housemates have so far failed to start their wager rehearsal.
The housemates held a meeting in the lounge right after their workout this morning, presided over by Doyin, the Head of House. Then and there, they started assigning responsibilities in preparation for their rehearsals. The team of singers, the songwriting team, the producers, and the skit creation team were a few of the teams formed, with housemates assigned to each, and the expecteation that more teams would be formed.
The housemates have, however, not had any other meetings or rehearsals in preparation for their wager, and we are just wondering if the availability of food may have made them lazy. Angel echoed these same thoughts during her diary session when Biggie asked her about this, saying, “About the wager, we are not really preparing because Doyin is a chilled head of house.” Angel alson reiterated how the house was lackadaisical towards preparing for the wager.
She also cited the fact that Doyin played a huge role in how the house was preparing for the wager, saying housemates were taking advantage of the fact that Doyin was a laid-back. Angel expressed her concern that the lack of preparation for the wager could potentially put the house at a disadvantage. She, however, pointed out that previous wagers that were won had also started with late preparations. Does it mean there is a chance for a wager win? While Angel acknowledged the potential disadvantage of late preparations, she also noted that past victories have shown that it is still possible to win even with limited time to prepare. This suggests that there is indeed a significant chance for the house to come out on top in the wager despite their current situation.

Mercy Eke raises concerns over Ceec and Ike
Merike’s comeback might not be happening anytime soon.
In the early hours of this morning, Doyin and Sholzy advised Ike to talk things out with Mercy Eke and apologise for any past transgressions. They hoped that honest communication and a sincere apology for past offences would help clear up any misunderstandings, and pave the way for Ike and Mercy Eke to have a better relationship.
Ike struggled to take their advice since he didn’t want Mercy Eke to believe he was contacting her solely because nominations had just happened, and was concerned that his apology would not be seen as genuine. However, Sholzy made it plain that it was not vital for him to figure out what Mercy Eke was thinking and urged him to simply seize the opportunity to speak to her. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Ike and Mercy were once in a romantic relationship that started in the Big Brother Naija house, but came crashing down outside Biggie’s walls.
An unexpected plot twist
When Ike and Mercy Eke eventually found a moment to chat, it turned out a lot of he and Mercy Eke’s issues are centred around his association with Ceec. Mercy Eke expressed concern over Ike’s sudden closeness to Ceec and warned him about “impending direspect” from Ceec, if he continues associating with her. Was Mercy Eke “warning” Ike as an old friend, or does she see Ceec as competition for Ike’s affections? To further complicate matters, Ike then spilled the tea to Ceec, telling her how Doyin and Mercy had warned him to distance himself from her.
This new information left Ceec shocked, and she voiced out her disappointment around Mercy’s comments specifically. Earlier in the evening, Doyin sat down for a conversation with Ike and told him the real reason why Mercy begged her for BFF pick, was because Mercy didn’t want to see Ike and Ceec together.
This morning, Ceec insisted she wouldn’t attend the brief reading that took place right after the workout session and as promised, she spent most of her time in bed. While speaking with Ike after the brief was read, Ceec made it clear she was ready to serve it hot to anyone who crossed her path. Doyin also seemed to be on a roll as she kept referring to Ceec “dealing with something”, saying at some point: “The girl is fighting demons.” When Doyin mentioned how Ceec would be ready to join the rest of the housemates when she was “done fighting”, Adekunle interjected, mentioning how no one had fought today, as far as he was aware.
Mercy Eke cautions Ike
With wahala loading, will we witness a huge fight in the house this week, or are we in for yet another week of calm? Also, will Ike take Mercy Eke’s advice into consideration.
‘I don’t have sense.’ Ike
Mercy speaks to Ike about the type of ladies he gets with and how he needs respect in the house.
All Stars share the reasons behind their nomination choices
In Biggie’s diary room, thoughts are revealed and confessions find their sanctuary.
Following the first All Stars individual nomination, the housemates trooped into the diary room one after the other to tell Biggie about the reasons behind their various nominations, their wager task preparations, among other things.
Emotions vs. Strategy
In the Big Brother house, emotions and strategy have both played key roles in how the housemates make their decisions, and yesterday’s nomination process was an example. The nominated housemates (Angel, Seyi, Pere, Adekunle, and Lucy) tried to make sense of their nomination, and it was a revealing session. For Seyi, his nomination has him questioning loyalty. Pere and Adekunle on the other hand, were not surprised, as they both let Biggie know that their nomination reminded them of their seasons. Angel was anxious, and Ike said he was going to make himself feel better by finding more money coins.
Thoughts about Doyin’s reign
Barely 24 hours into her reign, the housemates have a lot to say concerning Doyin’s reign as Head of House. Indifference and nonchalance were some of the words used to describe Doyin’s leadership style. Many felt that she wasn’t taking her responsibilities seriously and wasn’t stern, which made Pere and Angel predict chaos in the house this week. Doyin’s choice of BFFs wasn’t spared scrutiny either. Some housemates, such as Ceec, maintained that it feels like they have ‘heads’ of house. Ilebaye shared similar sentiments as she said, “Her assistants will help her rule the house.” Ilebaye also mentioned that she was disappointed and sad that Doyin didn’t make her one of her BFFs and even though they were not on speaking terms, the latter could have at least tried to include her. In her words, “The thing pain me sha.” Will Doyin and Ilebaye bury the hatchet and become friends again? Only time will tell.
As housemates navigate this week, prepare for their wager task, and interact with one another, there is a possibility that the house environment might force the housemates to confront each other over choices made and find a way to get along. Perhaps through conversations, they will find common ground and navigate whatever obstacles this week will throw their way.
