Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has warned the likes of Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu to rethink their ambitions in 2023.
According to him, anyone above sixty should be preparing to meet God and not lead Nigeria.
He argued that Nigeria needs a President that is fit and able to lead the nation through the many rigours of office.
Tambuwal made the submission on Tuesday in Jigawa State after the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in the 19 northern states ‘endorsed’ his ambition.
The 56-year-old Tambuwal who is interested in the nation’s number one political seat is seeking the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Represented at the event by his Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Bashir Usman, the Governor said: “Young Nigerians are the owner(s) of the country, any person above 60 years is surviving to meet God Almighty – he is not surviving to lead a nation.
