The Baltimore Orioles have come out of nowhere and emerged as a postseason contender.

On the heels of a 110-loss season, the Orioles were not expected to do anything at all.

But this morning, they woke up and found themselves tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for the final American League Wild Card spot.

They’ve won seven of their last 10 games and sit at 58-52 in a crowded AL East division.

On Twitter, MASN, the TV home of the Orioles, posted a picture featuring the Wild Card standings in the American League, which shows the Orioles tied with the Rays for that final Wild Card spot.

Good Morning, Baltimore

It’s been since 2016 that the Orioles were in the postseason.

That was when the team was on its stretch of three playoff appearances in five years.

Just like in 2012, the Orioles are a surprise contender this season and look like a team that can do some damage down the stretch.

Now, these Orioles are a legitimate postseason contender after having missed the playoffs five straight years.

The fans in Baltimore now have a little something to cheer about for the first time in a while.

But if one considers where they were at the end of 2021, it’s remarkable to think that this team is right in the thick of the postseason chase.

Everyone loves a good Cinderella story where a team comes out of nowhere and turns itself into a contender.

That’s what the Orioles have done.

The future is looking brighter by the day.

Before it’s all said and done, we could see the Orioles in the postseason.

We’ll see if they can keep up their magic.
