In a YouTube video, Auka said the plans will be kicking off this month.
“Thank you so much. You have walked with us, it was a long journey and it is not ending there yet because we are carrying her legacy and we are starting with this month October being a breast cancer month,” she said
She added that some of the activities she will be engaging with her team include creating awareness about the disease, through education and sharing stories of those who have survived the disease as well as those who are still undergoing treatment.
“We are going to share stories about the side effects of the drug. Me being a cancer survivor of 2015, I have a lot also to share. Then I became a caregiver to Bwire, there are so many challenges that we faced. I know its going to help one or two people out there, be alert, be checking our foundation pages,” she said.
Bwire’s mother will be working with a team of 14 people.
Bwire played the role of Dida in Sultana. She was laid to rest on September 21.
