The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged the federal government to take immediate action to address the pressing issues of insecurity and economic challenges facing the nation.

In a message celebrating Eid-ul-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad, PBUH, CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh highlighted the need for Nigerian leaders to focus on policies that alleviate the hardships experienced by citizens and promote fairness and justice for all.

He also stressed the significance of nurturing peace and understanding, calling on all religious leaders to persist in spreading messages of tolerance and harmonious coexistence.

“It is only through good governance and transparent leadership that we can restore hope and confidence in our nation’s future.

“As Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Maulud, we in CAN express hopes that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, PBUH, will inspire Nigerians to pursue justice, peace, and a united Nigeria.”

“Nigeria’s .strength lies in its cultural and religious diversity and stresses the need for solidarity among all citizens,” he said.
