Super Falcons of Nigeria secured their place in the final qualifying round for the Paris 2024 Olympics with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Cameroon in Abuja.
Esther Okoronkwo was the hero, scoring the decisive goal in the opening 14th minute of the game.
After a goalless draw in the first leg in Douala, the Falcons needed a win to advance.
Okoronkwo’s early strike proved to be enough to see them through to the next roun d.
The Super Falcons are aiming for their first Olympic appearance since the Beijing 2008 Games.
They will now await the winner between South Africa and Tanzania in the final qualifying round.
