Super Eagles Goalkeeper Okoye Finally Speaks On Joining Watford

Watford new boy, Maduka Okoye, has said he is enjoying his stay at the Vicarage Road.
Okoye joined the Hornets from Eredivisie outfit, Sparta Rotterdam last season but spent the remainder of the campaign in the Netherlands.

The Nigerian international feels he has really settled in his new environment after recently linking up with the London club for pre-season training.

“It’s been fantastic. I’ve had a great time already, there are funny guys and good vibes here,” Okoye told the club’s official website.

“I think that’s important, we feel connected to other players and the staff, I’m settling in very well.”

The 22-year-old also reflected on his time during pre-season with his new teammates.

“It was nice, we had a good time,” he added.

“We worked very hard but we had fun and a smile on our faces, and we made steps in the right direction. Now we’re back and continuing with our hard work.”
