Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has revealed that arguments with his wife, Chioma Rowland, often have a negative effect on his business. In a recent interview on the Breakfast Club podcast, the singer candidly discussed how his relationship with Chioma plays a significant role in his personal and professional life.
Davido expressed immense gratitude for Chioma’s support, crediting her as a key figure behind his success. Reflecting on a heartfelt moment between Chioma and their daughter, Hailey, Davido described the scene as one that deeply touched him.
The singer also opened up about the couple’s long journey, revealing that he and Chioma had been together for 11 years before tying the knot. His comments highlighted not only the depth of their bond but also the importance of their relationship in his career and life.
“My wife has always had things over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. If I fight her, she will say, ‘So you are fighting me, Abi? Your album is coming. Do you want to fight me?’ She has that grace over me. My kids love her, especially my daughter. There were times when I was scared to bring my kids around her, but there has been some growth.
Before we got married, we were together for 11 years. We met in school, and she went from being my girlfriend to my wife. I was 18, and she was 17. We finished school together. “
