On Thursday, January 5, 2023, the mother of Nigerian artist Anthony Victor, widely known as Victony, asks her son to reflect on a sequence of life-threatening incidents that have happened to him since boyhood.
Victony’s mother reached out to him over the WhatsApp messaging service with thoughtful messages. She told him about some of the unfortunate occurrences in his life, claiming that he was aware of them all and that he should be grateful to God for protecting him from all the evil that had befallen him.
The soulful singer’s mother stated that the trial began on the day he was to be delivered, describing the difficulties she endured prior to and during his delivery. After he was successfully delivered, his mother revealed the struggles he faced in order to push him and draw him closer to God.
The son, on the other hand, denied knowing everything her mother claimed he knew. He responded, expressing gratitude but confessing he was unaware. “Mummy thank you very much. I didn’t know all these,” Victony said.
In the message shared on social media by the ‘Soweto’ crooner, his mother wrote; “Ebuka, you are destined for great things. When I look back and trace all the signs that I couldn’t read. First off, during your pregnancy I suffered an asthma attack that almost took my life.
“God helped and I managed with it up until the pregnancy was due for delivery. Even when I was in labour, I remember going to the hospital with daddy we had an accident which made daddy fall into a pot hole and in turn damaged the wheel of his car.
“We barely had to manage the vehicle and toggle it to the hospital. We got to the hospital and did the necessary but when it was time for delivery, the enemy struck again! This time you couldn’t come out of my womb because the umbilical cord tied you down and it was wrapped around you.
“The doctor in charge had to untie you, before you came out. We all rejoiced that faithful day that you were born. To my surprise, the neighborhood lit fireworks and the display was nothing like I have seen in my entire life. Wow. That was a special sign I could now understand. You started suffering measles at your first months and it took the grace of God to get you fit.
“A year later, you started having cold. This cold led to random asthma attacks. Thank God it didn’t affect your studies. You are aware of the series of attacks… That was a special sign I could now

I think you can remember some of those crisis. God didn’t allow any of these things drag and pull you down.
“The most recent event on April 26th, was the accident I would say little about as you already know. I’m telling you all these to draw lessons on how special you are and how the enemy fought from the start to end your glory. God still didn’t allow the enemy to pull you down.
“God is great in your life, He always shows his love to you so hold on to Him tight. Worship your God and watch how far He’ll take you.I Love you my son. Always and forever. Happy Birthday once nore.”
