Gospel artist Justina Syokau has disclosed that she has remained celibate for the past ten years. This revelation comes even as netizens wonder what happened to her much-publicized divorce and her continued dedication to want again the institution of marriage. While her personal journey has been marked by challenges, Syokau remains a staunch advocate of purity of matrimony.
In a conversation with bloggers, Justina Syokau opened up about her unique situation and addressed the taboo nature of her celibacy. She reflected on the difficulties she has faced as a single woman in a society where traditional values are deeply rooted.
“I have been alone for ten years,” she admitted. “I can tell you it’s not easy to stand on the outside and be fully aware of your desirability.”
Justina Syokau’s commitment to celibacy might leave some curious about her secret to maintaining this vow over such an extended period.
She explained how she manages the urges, “I’m just busy. When I get home, I have things to do. In the morning, I’m supposed to be in an office by 7. I don’t have a life. I make sure I’m busy to distract myself from those temptations.”
She also shared a useful tip for dealing with those moments of temptation.
“But there are times when I feel the urge, and your body tells you to ‘changamka’ [get active],” she said with a laugh.
“There are days you feel overwhelmed, but you can’t just call someone and ask them to go out. You can’t even ask strangers online or our fans because you don’t know their intentions; perhaps they want to expose you.”
One significant factor contributing to Justina’s decision to stay celibate is her fear of intimate photos being leaked, a concern shared by many individuals in the public eye.
“It’s a lot of things,” she admitted. “When you’re an artist, everybody can be an enemy, and you don’t always know who you can trust. Even fellow artists can sometimes conspire against you.”
